The Cole Coppola Memorial Fishing Pier

Gail Laggesblog

The foundation’s main project is to raise money to build a memorial fishing pier. Members of the community will have the opportunity to literally put their name or a customized message on this community project, permanently inscribed in the very treads making up the fishing pier.  The pier will serve the public at large providing a new safe place for fishing in the Indian River Lagoon, all while creating a brand new marine habitat for fish and other marine life to thrive.  The pier will be located in Vero Beach’s Riverside Park. The City of Vero Beach has recently accepted a grant from the Florida Inland Navigational District for the permitting and engineering costs.

That grant has been matched by the Foundation. Please check back frequently for updates, as space will be limited and we know that the treads will sell out. Funds raised from the sale of the naming rights for each tread will help support the design and construction of the fishing pier as well as the mission of the Live Like Cole Foundation.?
