Most of us are pretty familiar with a few dates that have special meaning for us. June 14th is FLAG DAY…. June 16th is FATHER’S DAY but there are other causes and topics that take place in this popular month. Did you know that June is also Men’s Health Month as well as International Men’s Month? June also serves as the national month for many health awareness issues….Alzheimiers, Aphasia, PTSD and skin cancer awareness just to name a few. Additionally the International Childhood Cancer Campaign recognizes this month for their cause. When it comes to Food items like candy, fresh fruits, vegetables and even seafood they too now have jumped on the bandwagon to celebrate each one. But if you’re a Nature Lover this is when the weather gets warmer and the Great Outdoors gives us an opportunity to go camping, have those Bar-B-Q’s, enjoy gardening or going to our beautiful Floridian Beaches. Home & Family provides us with Children’s Awareness Month! And for our 4 legged furry family members June celebrates shelter-cat adoption. So it seems June offers much more than perhaps we realized including Graduations. Oh and one last thing? June means Christmas is just 6 months away……….so yes, JUNE is on her way!
