Ideas for a “Dad” Space

Gail Laggesblog, Home Improvement Tips

Father’s Day was last Sunday, and that brought up a discussion on different home features that are traditionally considered “Dad Inspired”. Here are a few ideas to help turn Dad’s domain into his “castle”.

An Outdoor Kitchen – Outdoor kitchens are becoming more and more popular, and it’s easy to see why! Mini fridges filled with beer and condiments, grilling stations, and sinks are all found in a standard outdoor kitchen, but you can even add in a built in dishwasher and TV.

A Game Room – Having a designated space for billiards, darts, vintage pinball machines, poker tables, and air hockey tables would give Dad a great reason to host his next guy’s night.

A Well-Stocked Home Bar – After adding in fun features like a kegerator and a beer pull for Dad’s favorite brew, you can take it a step further by decorating it in a way that reflects his passions. Does he have a favorite sports team? Enjoy golfing? Consider adding in some memorabilia to make the room uniquely his.

What are some features you know Dad would love to see added to these fun spaces?
