Hurricane season is HERE, and it’s time to be prepared. The season runs from June 1st- November 30th with the peak occurring mid-August and late October. We want to help make sure you and your families are as fully prepared as you can be. Here are some tips / helpful information to get you started…

Basic Supply Kit:

  • Water (At Least 1 gallon, per person, per day)
  • Food
  • Radio (battery powered)
  • First Aid Kit
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries
  • Whistle (to signal for help)
  • Manual can opener
  • Local Maps
  • Cell phone with chargers / backup battery

Prepare your home:

  • Review your insurance policies
  • Properly trim trees
  • Secure and seal your roof
  • Seal windows / doors
  • Shutters
  • Bring lawn belongings inside
  • Unplug electronics
  • Invest in a generator….and make sure to fuel up!
